Gillette Venus Embrace

Hello Sugar Critters, here we are again with a review for an item provided to me compliments of Influenster VoxBox. This item happens to be the Gillette Venus Embrace refillable razor. Since this is my third Cosmo VoxBox review post I'll try to keep things short.

        Razor Details
  • 5 Razor blades
  • Moisture ribbon
  • Soft-grip handle - for a no slip grip
  • Available with shower pod storage
  • Interchangeable razor refill cartridges
Personally I feel this razor lives up to all the hype the brand gives it. I've changed from my everyday brand to Venus after trying it. I was skeptical because I've used the same brand for so long, but I'm impressed with how smooth my legs are. The blades glided so cleanly, and left me without bumps or burns. I have very sensitive skin so this is extremely important to me. My favorite feature is that all Venus refill cartridges fit any Venus handle.  Which to me is perfect because once you discover a great brand you want to explore their other choices. With this feature you save yourself money, and the argument with yourself about branching out or not. Bottom line is it's a great product, and I'll be recommending it to all the ladies I know.

Stay sweet little critters, and I'll be back soon with several reviews I'm in the middle of write.

Forever Red Exclusively at Bath & Body Works

Hello Sugar Critters, I have some follow up info for one of my Cosmo VoxBox items: Forever Red perfume. As you know from my VoxBox post I received this compliments of Influenster to test for free. This won't be a very long post, but I did want to introduce you to the rest of the product line, and the pricing info. Also I'm sure you've guessed it, there is even a nice sale going on as well.

I personally love this perfume, and I'm looking forward to finding it under my tree this year. It's soft, sweet, and lingers just right. I'd recommend it to anyone who enjoys a very feminine fragrance. It's perfect for your favorite little bird in her twenties.

Bath & Body Works describes this perfume as having:
  • Top Notes: Fiery Pomegranate, Rare French Peach, Luminous Apple
  • Mid Notes: Red Peony, Night Marigold, Red Osmanthus
  • Dry Notes: Rich Vanilla Rum, Velvety Marshmallow, Oak Wood
I'd agree that the pomegranate, french peach, vanilla rum, and oak wood are present. I'm not great at dissecting a scent myself. I'm very happy that the vanilla smell doesn't cause the scent to be unbalanced or overpowering. In my honest opinion this is a very well balanced, and lovely scent.

Currently bath & Body Works offers a total of nine products in the Forever Red line. Each are pictured above, and will be listed below with their perspective prices. Take advantage of the limited time offer of Buy 3, Get 3 free from their signature collection body care.

  • Forever Red Eau de Parfum - 2.5 oz - $44.50
  • FR Fine Fragrance Mist - 8 oz - $22.00
  • FR Shimmer Mist  - 8 oz - $22.00
  • FR Body Lotion - 10 oz - $20.00
  • FR Triple Moisture Body Cream  - 8 oz - $20.00
  • FR Shower Gel - 10 oz - $18.00
  • FR Golden Sugar Scrub - 8 oz - $16.50
  • FR Rollerball & Lip Wand Duo - .24 oz - $15.00
  • FR Eau de Toilette Rollerball - .24 ox - $12.50

I hope this information has been helpful to all of you in finding a new sweet treat this holiday season. Keep watching for more sugar plums of Christmas cheer and deals.

Stella Artois Chalice BzzCampaign Review

Hello Sugar Critters, this has been a busy busy week for sweet deals. I know you remember me telling you about BzzAgent, and all of their wonderful BzzCampaigns. Well I was finally lucky enough to receive my very first BzzCampaign. So at absolutely no cost to me, compliments of BzzAgent.com I am the proud owner of a Stella Artois Chalice. I'm so excited to try it out, and see if it really does improve the experience of Stella Artois beer. There's a lot to know about this product to be able to understand why it's so special. I'll start by giving you some facts about the product itself.

Stella Artois, is a Belgium produced beer that has been around since 1366. It's recommended to consume it while fresh. It's bottled in green glass which typically can cause flavor change due to light referred to skunking the beer. It was originally brewed to celebrate the holidays. I can understand why it certainly works well with holiday festivities. This wonderful brews name Stella means star and she certainly is the star of the show. I enjoyed how they Incorporated this lovely feature into the chalice stem. It's eye catching and as attractive as the product served inside.

What truly makes this an amazing item is that it's not just about presentation. It's about the experience you have while using it. A simple chalice transforms an already great beer into something more. To ensure this they even created a nine step pouring ritual to make your chalice even more unique. The chalice isn't just an ordinary glass, it's functional in enhancing the aroma and flavor of the brew. To me it's a light, refreshing beer that's meant for unwinding. I'm not sure how others describe the aroma, but to me it's a little robust with the scent of hops, but at times the slight skunky undertones of beers bottled in light colored bottles. It's not an unpleasant scent by any means, just different.

I'll be enjoying the benefits of this chalice during the holidays. I'll be adding some photos of my outings with my sparkly friend soon. So here's to good taste, tantalizing aromas, and good cheer. I hope you all are lucky enough to have a visit from Carole, this holiday season.

Only a social media and freebie junkies best friend...the Influenster VoxBox.  Don't worry if you have no clue what I'm talking about I'll explain. Influenster is the place for people who love sharing through social media, and reviewing products. The best part is it's free....I mean do you really need more than that? Yes? Well okay what about chances to receive free products based off things like expert badges you've earned? I know, I know so much to learn about. All in all it's about earning badges and sharing. Moving on to the VoxBox - " FREE themed product shipments based on the Expert Badges they have unlocked and based on individual demographics. " More information can be found in the link I provided above. Don't worry though I'm about to show you what's what about one of these boxes.

         Cosmo VoxBox 2012

  • One Information Card From Influenster
  • Forever Red Perfume
  • Venus Embrace Razor
  • Gillette Venus & Olay Refill
  • $2.00 Off Coupon for Venus Refills
  • Information Card: Gillette Venus Info
  • Ghirardelli Sea Salt Escape Chocolate Bar
  • Red, and Black FriXion Pens By Pilot
I loved that I was lucky enough to receive this voxbox. Everything included happened to be an item I enjoyed. Some new favorites, and some guilt over a sugar high. Here are my thoughts on each.

The Forever Red perfume is carried by Bath and Body, and I have to say it's my new favorite. It's soft, and sweet and lingers in a lovely way. I can't wait to see if my husband took the hint about wanting more for Christmas.

The Venus Embrace razor worked so well that my inner goddess won't be hiding these legs this winter. I also found out that any of the Venus refills fit any of the Venus handles. That's really convenient and nice to know. It also came with a Venus & Olay refill. It had a pleasant coco butter sent, and I can't wait to try it. To top things off they included a $2.00 off coupon for their refills. All of these items were packaged in a pretty sheer satchel.

The Ghirardelli Sea Salt Escape chocolate bar was oh so good. Sweet, and savory with a nice crunch. I was a nice sugar critter and shared it though.

The red, and black Frixion Pilot pens were great. I'm prone to writing mistakes so these pens were a life saver. I was a little skeptical that they would work well, but after giving them a try I'm hooked. They erase so clean that I can hide my little oops lol

All in all this package was great. I found a new perfect scent, and a way to hide my terrible writing. I'd have to call that a win. I've included a few pictures of my unboxing, and a youtube video I made. I'm sorry for the sound and light quality. I just moved so I don't have everything set up yet. Please hold on with me while I work to make my youtube channel and blog much better for you. So until my next sweet deal I'll leave you with candy crumb memories.

Treat yourself to a taste of a new language...

Hello my sugar critters I've been down with some health problems, but what better way to bounce back than a great deal? I've recently joined some new free services. One of which I am in complete love with. It's called influenster, and if you already know what it is then I'm sure you are in love with it too. If you don't be sure to follow this link and request an invite. Get your Influenster invitation today! Now down to the niddy griddy of this sweet deal.

Thanks to influensters' wonderful service i was introduced to Dino Lingo. It's an amazing children's language system that offers so many ways to teach your child. They offer DVDs, books, CDs, flash cards, mp3s, videos and even online lessons. Lets face it digital media has become a huge part of the way our children learn. So what better way to help them enjoy learning than a fun learning system designed to keep them engaged? My children enjoyed the free lesson Dino Lingo gives you to preview their system. It was wonderful to watch them laugh and participate with the video right from the start.  They've asked for it for Christmas, and to me that speaks volumes.

As always I invite you to see for yourself what has impressed me so much. Feel free to follow the link I've provided to choose your free language lesson.  Dino Lingo Free Lesson . As always I love, love, love a nice little perk. They have been kind enough to provide a 10% off coupon code for their Christmas sale. There's even an adorable 2013 calendar free with your purchase.

I hope you find this product as pleasing as I have, and I'll be back very soon with more sweet treats.

November Julep Box

Hello Sugar Critters! I know I've been gone for a while now, but I was busy moving. I'm back with a sweet treat of a review that I hope you'll enjoy. I told you before about Julep, and their great subscription plan. Since then they have updated their site, and their deals. I've now received my introduction box, and my November box. I'll be reviewing Novembers box for you, but as an additional treat it was a Gold box. *Serious Happy Dance* This means that in addition to my typical box of two polishes and the extra product of the month I scored extra items. Best part? I paid no additional charges, and it came as a surprise. In total there were six polishes, one body butter, one headband, polish remover pads, and information cards. Everything came packaged in a gold box, and lovely paper. I definitely felt like a lucky maven. As always you can skip a month if you chose to do so. I'll be the first to admit that I'm hooked, and will continue with my subscription. Even Oprah, has julep on her mind. They were recently listed in her favorite things with a promo code. Oprahs' Favorite Things So keep searching for those sweet deals, and I'll bring you more soon.

Becoming a Maven

I recently subscribed to a service from Julep I started this service for only $0.01. That's right a penny, and there isn't a shipping and handling fee. It's a lot like makeup sample service boxes everyone seems to be reviewing on youtube. Only julep offers you the ability to opt out of a months service without canceling your subscription. Honestly I find this to be a good deal for two reasons. The first being you never know when you will be tight on cash. My second being that sometimes you might not find the shades appealing. I hate paying for a service and being disappointed so this works out great. So what's the monthly charge? $19.99, no shipping and handling. You are also given the chance to purchase additional items for your monthly box. Up to four polishes for $4.99 each instead of full price, and then any other maven item you select to purchase for full price. Everyone loves holidays, and little extras during them right? I've noticed maven adds little extras to holiday boxes. Which honestly who would turn down a nice freebie right? So far I have only received my introduction box for the price of a penny but I'll be unboxing this months box when it arrives. Now that I've covered the price range I'll fill you in on passing on a month. When you sign up you'll notice it will look very similar to the following pics. Under My Orders you will find the information that explains what dates you must long in and choose to skip the months service. If you fail to log in during that time period you will receive your maven box and the monthly charge. They give you plenty of time, and I honestly find it to be very fair. The following picture shows what your introductory box price will look like on its invoice. I wanted to show you the proof that I only paid  one cent. If you choose to start this service after viewing my blog please follow this link Get Your Maven On  . Once on the site click How It Works, it will redirect you to Get Started. Now it's time to take your maven style quiz. You will end up with one of the four maven styles of American Beauty, Boho Glam, Bombshell, and Classic With a Twist. I've added a photo below picturing each as they will arrive in your intro kit. Once you arrive at the order screen it will look very much like photo 4. In the discount code slot enter the code PENNY. It should then make your total $0.01 as pictured in Photo 2. If not check to make sure your typed the code in all caps, and resubmit it. Only continue to check out once you see the total charge has changed to the desired one cent. I hope you enjoy your great beauty deal as much as I have. If you order look forward to quick shipment and a great product. If you feel super generous and wish to give me credit for referring you to this service my Invitation Code is 5555319. Thanks so much, and I really hope that you all enjoy this product as much as I am.

What the sugar rush is all about...

This is officially my very first blog post ever. I know yay for me right? I understand no one is going to share my immense excitement for starting this blog, at least not at first. Though I hope to see many people milling around here soon. I've started this for a few reasons. One of those being I have a love obsession with pinterest.com and trying what I find there and working on improving some of them. I mean what's worse than trying to make something amazing you found in a pin and ending up on the (nailed it) crap end of the spectrum? A lot, but I'm just saying it would be nice if there were a few more detailed instructions at times.

Another reason I'm assaulting your brain cells is to bring you product reviews and solid freebie links that aren't going to end up giving you a case of oh why did I do that. I hate feeling like I'm giving way too much information for something i may never see. So I'm not going to be bringing you links like those. My plan is to introduce you to a great site called Bzzagent.com. Wait..you don't have to run out and try it right this moment and then say why sugar?! Why did you send me some where I don't understand? You can opt to wait for me to get my first campaign and review the products they provide me. When will that happen? I'm not certain, but if things move along as I have read in many blogs it should be within a month of when I started. That was 10/06/12 so wish me luck on a quick score. So far things seem simple enough to understand. Create an account, add in your personal info you wish to share (no payment info of any kind at any time - this is a completely free service). Connect with your favorite social sites such as facebook, twitter, grocery shopping cards, and even start a Mypoints reward account (You will be redirected to a fellow site to create this account).

Mypoints is pretty much what the name says. You use points you accumulate from doing surveys, or from purchases the mypoints site helps you become aware of. Once you earn enough points you'll be able to exchange them for featured items on their site. Note this is optional you don't have to create a mypoints account.

Moving on..You may notice after completing some surveys and sharing your buzzscore on facebook or maybe twitter that you've earned an achievement. You'll pick these up as you do things like tweet progress so many times, or add a friend. All these things help keep your bzzscore afloat. Being active is important. Do your surveys, they are quick, and simple. Answer them honestly as they help to place you in campaigns. Don't worry though from what I understand you can have a buzzscore of 3.2 at first and still be chosen to review a product. The most important thing to remember if you want to continue to review products is that if you are chosen, and accept a campaign you need to give an honest review (they will instruct ways to do so in your bzzkit you receive). Never accept a bzzkit and not give feedback it's a sure way to put yourself into a position to receive fewer invites. These invites will come by email from bzzagent. If you don't wish to participate in a particular invite opt out. Again I'll mention none of this is of any cost to you. No shipping and handling, no charge to keep the products..NOTHING.

Free is great especially when there are no strings dangling in the background to trip you up later. I will never provide you with a link I have not tried myself. I'm not willingly to provide bad information to people who trust me to be certain I've done my homework first. You deserve better than a run of the mill engine search. If I find something I think anyone might find interesting I'll share it. Some links may expire once items sell out. I'll do my best to update those post with a note to let you know if they are no longer valid offers. That being said my sugar rush is wearing off and I'll wrap up this post. I hope to provide you with some sweet deals soon.
